Clay played a lot in the conformation ring & inspite of himself (& me) he won 2 points under specialty judge E. Honig going WD/BOS.   Clay also passed his Temperament Test and Canine Good Citizen test with flying colors! He's retired.  Clay's my devoted watch dog for my home and all my critters.

Clay possessed the true "farm-collie" temperament. Even though he never showed any interest in herding sheep, he kept all my other critters safe.
He was father to the first pigmy goat born here - since the poor little guys mother wouldn't have anything to do with him.

Clay kept watch over 7 young chicks and a 2 month old goose after the pen they were in over-turned due to a thunderstorm blowing through one afternoon this past spring. After Mom righted the pen, he helped herd them back where they were safe.

Clay left us in his sleep on Labor Day afternoon.
He is greatly missed.
